Had to try this place out since I'd passed next to it so many times. I have to say, I don't regret it. We loved the food there and atmosphere as well. Our waiter was very attentive, granted it wasn't busy (we were there on a Tuesday or Thursday at around 12:30) but still great service. We were able to try the wings since they were on special and had the green chile wings and the hot buffalo they were delicious. After that had to try their signature dish, a green chile pecan encrusted burger with sweet bacon.( the corkscrew or corked something lol sorry I should've done the review immediately but been busy). My wife had the Philly cheese steak. We both liked our food very much and hope not to have a bad experience next time we are there which will definitely be soon!

I will never come to this establishment again... the service took too long. We reserved a room for a function with 30 people and they double booked the room. They didn't care about our party. I wish I could say no star.. but I had to rate it with a star.

Okay. Love The Game. I come here often and the food and beer never disappoint. HOWEVER...this last couple of visits I have noticed stuff going downhill. The menus are ratty and falling apart. The patio is left very dirty and unkept. Our table was FILTHY and we had to ask three times to get it wiped. Then the server came with a disgustingly dirty rag and did a very half hearted attempt, smearng stuff all over the table. Come on. You can do bettet!

The pecan crusted chilies and margaritas are worth your patronage as both are delicious. Had the pecan crusted chicken With chipotle sauce and it was strange tasting to me. The chipotle was more smokey than spicy and just tasted off. Server was fantastic!

We stopped here on our way through town and everything seemed fine until some woman started cussing and talking about beating people up. She was so crass and loud we moved inside so my kids didn't have to listen to her. Come to find out, it was the owner doing all that ranting and raving! Shameful.

My boyfriend and I came here yesterday after seeing there'd be live music. It did not disappoint! Fun atmosphere, beautiful outdoor patio area. Food came out fairly quickly and deliciously ! we had Dirt Dogs (kosher chili cheese dogs) and peach cobbler. Only problem was the cooling units outside. They sprayed a lot of water which made it more humid and attracted more mosquitos.

Was traveling and this place was recommend by the hilton staff for good salads. Ordered the spinach salad with lemon juice dressing. I received 20 sliced lemons on top of the salad. What the....? Also, the waitress ignored us most of the time. Had to find her in order to pay the bill. Only good thing was the chips and homemade salsa.

Was not impressed with the food or the condition of the make shift outside patio area. I ordered a hamburger with more bun then meat. The sweet potato fries were good. However the tables and chairs were a mix of old patio furniture and stuff you might find at an estate sale. Far from commercial grade and seems like an after thought. Inside is a small bar with nice tv's.

I came to this place with a couple of buddies on TDY on 10/18/14. The food was mediocre. The service was very horrible. Ive never been to a place where you get the appetizers or salad with your main meal. The waitress wasted soda on my phone, wallet and my cigarettes and ruined my cigarettes. All she said was my bad and kept it moving. She wasn't rude but courteous wasn't her strong skill. Then they had a live band playing while one of the biggest games in college football was on. I probably won't come back.

A true sports bar with great selection screens and a good selection of beers and specials. Great staff. Good layout whether you want to dine with friends, hang outside in front of live bands or play cornhole, putt some balls or watch games.

I'm mostly just reviewing this in response to the last review. They don't hate gay people. I'm gay and I go there with gay friends all the time, and never had an issue. I always considered it pretty gay friendly. The table service can be slow, but it's usually a mad house on Fridays when I go ($2.50 pints). I've never had any shadiness go on regarding tips and the bartenders usually start pouring my Guinness by the time I get up to the bar. Get the brisket queso nachos!

Don't be fooled by the sports bar theme, sure they have a game going on the tvs and the staff is dressed like refs but this place is so much more. If sports ain't your thing (it's not mine) they are quite easy to ignore. The patio is quite charming and if you wanna play cornhole or let your kids "minigolf", you can. As far as casual dining goes it is the best. The food is well priced and well made, none of this frozen microwave crap. I've yet to try a single bad item. Some of the best Americana dining in town. But people come to this bar for the beer, and with quite a selection and an amazing $2.50 domestic pints on friday (including Stone IPA) it has become quite the hotspot. However they usually have some special going through out the week and a great selection. When I wanna grab a pint, this is my first choice. For what its going for, it's almost perfect (they could use a new chair or two, furniture has some wear and tear). I give this place a 5 cause it exceeds expectations on food, drink selection and atmosphere. A couple worn chairs is not worth docking a full star for near flawless casual dining.

Still not outstanding, but their newer "craft beer" list has some things that are actually worth drinking--high praise from me--and they even include IBUs (int'l bitterness units) so you can choose wisely! Service can still be slow, and you still have to be creative to get many vegetarian choices, but this is a solid choice for a fun evening or quick lunch with friends or colleagues.

This is a good spot to grab a brew and watch a game. The draft selection is pretty decent for this town and the open area out back out is a good spot to chill with some friends. Service is pretty decent but it would be nice if it wasn't so cramped inside.

I always have a pretty good experience when I come here. Three stars are awarded for slow service (sometimes) and I'm always FREEZING when I'm there. The drinks are moderately priced ~$3.50 per beer and they have an amazing selection. The food is pretty good, but is nothing special. This is a wonderful place to watch a game!! Fans get rowdy and into whatever game is on which is think is pretty fun. The outdoor patio is gorgeous in the summer and a great place to enjoy a local band on select nights.

I used to live in Las Crcues and make it home a few times a year. Every time I come home at some point I end up at the Game. I think most of my friends in Cruces have mixed feeling about this place. I think it's great! The menu is awesome. The have green chile chicken wings! I love these things. 2 of my favorite things in one. They also have a great draft beer selection. The staff is always great too. Every time we get home we are will be here. Watch out if you sit at the bar. If you are too close the razor sharp edges on the bar stools don't feel too good on your elbows. Cheers!

A great sports bar just off the campus. There are TV screens everywhere, $2.50 draft happy hours, and TV's everywhere. The food was good, and there were TV's everywhere. If you couldn't watch your game, something was wrong with you, because there were TV's everywhere. The servers were nice, not once did they block my view because all I had to do was look on the other side of me, because there were TV's everywhere! Did I mention that this sports bar has TV's everywhere? How about the $2.50 happy hour 32 oz. drafts? No? Well, there are TV's everywhere anyway...

I like it here, I really do. I'm a regular and come here 2 to 3 times a week. The prices are solid and they have a large aray of beers from big names to craft beers. The food is good, and the service is always awesome. Now this is why I gave it 3 stars instead of 5: People come here for the patio. In New Mexico the weather is nice enough to be outside all year long with a couple of exceptions. This is why people come here instead of any other place that serves food and drinks, period. If anyone tells you other wise they are lying. The problem therefor stems from this. On busy nights there is hardly a place to stand much less sit, and there are not enough tables out side in the first place. Second and what I have heard most of all from regulars like myself is the live music on Fridays on the patio. It is a huge deterrent to go here on friday because of the music. Don't get me wrong I'm a huge fan of live music and frequently attend live shows, the problem is the music is SO loud that it is impossible to have a conversation or do anything besides listen. It is beyond frustrating to go on a Friday to go hang out with your friends when all you can hear is a very very loud full piece band blaring over you all night. So I guess go there, except Friday's unless you are going to exclusively hear the band.

What can i say! I love the patio! It helps to know a server/bartender when ordering on busy nights. The brisket nachos are awesome with a draft beer. We tried The Game today for lunch. My wife had the Turkey Reuben with a side salad and I had the Corked Bat Burger which was very good. I've been here recently 3 times with 4 or more people. We always sit in the bar area. Food is great, servers are great, atmosphere is great. The outdoor seating area has heating lamps during the winter--much appreciated! The Friday beer special is awesome too. Although, this restaurant gets only 4 stars because all 3 times I've been here, the hostess is rude, snooty, and not helpful....She definitely doesn't do her job. They also only get 4 stars because when my friend let the manager know how the hostess was acting, he barely apologized.

I have to agree with the reviews out describing this building as cold. I go there regularly and have been cold during both the summer and winter at times. Hubby & I used to enjoy this place--pretty good food at a pretty fair price. No more. We went recently and found the prices have gone up and the serving sizes have gone down. My hubby commented that the plates are much smaller now so serving sizes of the sides (fries or onion rings) are about half of what they were several months ago. I can understand a restaurant needing to increase its profits. So raise the prices. Or reduce the serving sizes. But don't do both! Also, the up-charge for swapping out sides is outrageous! They charge $2.50 extra to get sweet potato fries instead of regular french fries that come with a burger. But they sell a side order of fries for $2.99. So they are keeping a $2.99 product in the kitchen (and not reducing the price of the burger, which by the way is up to $9.50 (for the All American) now) and charging me $2.50? So I'm paying $12.00 for a burger and a (small) order of fries? What a rip-off. Plus the place is looking very run-down. Had to swap out chairs to find one that didn't wobble. We won't be back.

We met some friends to watch a game yesterday. Fantastic environment. I did not eat (since I had just had lunch somewhere else). The food looked fantastic, and they gave it high marks. But...I drank (I mean, not to excess - but it's a sports bar, so let's talk about the "bar" part). Mixed drink - decent price, but well mixed - not chintzy. I did not mind the premium I paid for Maker's, as it came with that lighter color of a well-mixed beverage (instead of a Coke with a lighter bottom). Forty-six (yeah - I will put that in numbers - 46) beers on tap. Most expensive one - $6 for a 24 oz beer - what!?! Seriously - a deal. I loved it - I come to Cruces 2x a year, and have never been here. Shame on me.

First timers experience: the hostesses and waitresses were awesome. The bartender was a bit of a turnoff because he was obviously sick and wasn't very sanitary about it. Sneezing, coughing, blowing his nose all while pouring drinks without washing his hands. Really? Overall a fun great place. Just bring hand sanitizer... Just in case. Lol.

Meh is the best description. Slow service for lunch but very friendly. BLT was really good but all I could taste in the chicken noodle soup was pepper. Would be really good if the reign that in. Cherry cobbler heated in a microwave was warm in one spot and so hot in another it burned the roof of my mouth. $18.50 not including tip a little pricey for lunch considering the service and good.

Awesome atmosphere and awesome happy hour, $2.50 pints all day Friday! They also have live music every Friday night on the patio. The reason I am only giving 4 stars is because the service is a hit or miss kinda deal. They have some really awesome servers who are on the ball, and then they have some that fall short, we had one girl tell us that she wasn't going to be a good server to us that night because she had other tables, I was completely shocked, that is just poor customer service skills and should be addressed by management. The food is good and I love their sweet potato fries and pecan encrusted green chile! Overall great experience, I would just try to get one of the male waiters because they tend to be more attentive and polite.

Came here recently for a friend's birthday and ordered their vegan burger. It was so mediocre I didn't even take my leftovers home. Its basically a frozen boca burger. However, I realize that my diet accommodations are annoying at best, and it's still a nice place to get drinks and watch games. A bit college-y and can get loud on weekend nights, but their drinks and service are fine.
